Cocking Nerf Pistol (By Matthew Oh)

This Nerf gun replica may not be as sleek as the real deal, but I thought that it looked pretty cool for something made out of Lego! I like Nerf guns a ton, but I have never owned one so maybe I'll have to go into the basement and build one out of Legos for myself.

The Lost Aztec Pyramid by Otter 72

Nice pyramid dude! That temple at the top is packed with detail.
I think I'm gonna walk up those stairs. Oops, I just broke my computer.

Review: 6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle

Here you go: The review you've been waiting over two weeks for! Sorry it has taken me so long to get this up. But here it is! Finally.
Before I get any further, I want to give you guys a few heads ups! First, please forgive the photo quality. Photographing a set this big can be a bit of a pain. Second, some of the pieces may look dusty. I want to tell you that it is not dust. It is the middle of pollen season here, and pollen goes everywhere inside and out. And the final heads up is a big one of these babies:
***SPOILERS AHEAD! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!***

Siege by Paul Vermeesch

Paul Vermeesch is a downright boss at building epic, detail packed vignettes. What more can be said!? I can say this: Nice explosion!
Paul is a great builder, and he has a very bright future. But more important than being a great builder, he's a great guy.

See the awesomeness on Mocpages.
Also, check out more of Paul's great MOCs by clicking here.

LEGO 9526 Palpatine's Arrest

Rumors have been around for awhile about a Palpatine's Arrest set. But put all rumors aside, and here we go!
9526 Palpatine's Arrest was spotted in a German store earlier this week. This is really rather odd considering we haven't even seen a blurry concept photo. Talk about a surprise! A good  surprise though. I have always wanted a set of this scene ever since I first saw the movie. It's just screaming to be made!
Well scream no more movie scene, your time has come.
Check out the pictures below to see the back of the box and the figs.

No word on piece count or price. Probably $80 to $100. Any more and I will officially hate LEGO. :P

Sorry for the absence of posting lately. Memorial Day weekend is one of the busiest weekends each year. And unfortunately it was busier than expected. But I shall try my best to post a lot before I leave later this week. Sorry. Busy spring.

Angry Birds by Austin Durick

Angry Birds: The game that swept the nation. I must say, it is addicting.
This MOC by Austin Durick is a great representation of everyone's favorite birds and pigs. I really like how he pulled off the birds. Micro animals can be hard to do.

Griffin by MortalSwordsman.

MortalSwordsman has been making some great models recently. Griffin is just a taste of what he builds. The epic wing design is just... epic!

LEGO Ultimate Spiderman: 6873 Spiderman's Doc Ock Ambush

Finally, a month or so after seeing the official Spiderman figs, we have obtained a picture of the set.
6873 Spiderman's Doc Ock Ambush will be available in August. Not sure on piece count or price, but I can guess on 350-500 pieces, and a $40-50 price range. Minifigures will be Spiderman, Doc Ock, and Iron Fist. Anybody know who Iron Fist is?
This is Ultimate Spiderman, keep in mind, not The Amazing Spiderman. My theory on why they are making a new Spiderman movie is that Spiderman will be in the second Avengers movie. Why else would they start the story all over again? When you have three movies in the bag already, you usually don't make a fourth one from the beginning unless there is a reason. Like being in the sequel to the fourth biggest movie of all time (Currently).

Thanks to MrToys for the image.

Ayleth Castle LCC-Garheim by Tasty Muffins

It can be very hard to make a castle without any of the infamous big grey wall syndrome. While this MOC by Tasty Muffins may have a little BGWS, it is pulled off in a very architectural way. That's something hard to do.

Mr. Banana & The Mexican's Biscuits by Riccardo Zangelmi

If this isn't NPU (Nice part usage), I don't know what is. Seriously, the idea of using the Death Star as a blender is fantastic! And the banana is one big "WOW!"

LEGO Monster Fighters Now Available From S@H

After TRU got the new Monster Fighters sets we knew it was only a matter of time before LEGO released them. "The time has come!" The walrus said... Never mind.
But yes, they are available on Shop@Home. Go there by clicking here. It's a perfect time to get them as the free Hulk minifigure deal is still on.
Go buy yourself some ABS plastic if you dare!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang by Sir Nadroj

Posh with a capital P-O-S-H Posh!
Excellent rendition of this iconic car from the all-time great family movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The engine design is just gorgeous!
If you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend you watch it. Yeah, it's an old movie, but if you want some laughs, check it out!

See it on M-O-C Pages!

LEGO Team GB Collectible Minifigures

We've already seen some pictures of the LEGO Team GB Collectible Minifigures, but what's wrong with seeing more!?
These figures look fabulous! I think LEGO has put a lot of work into designing these, maybe even more work than Series 7. The colors on these is just fantastic! The great blue, red and yellow work together for a stunning completion.
I am so excited for the Olympics! It has been four long years since Beijing, and I can't wait to see the games again. And now it's barely two months away!

May 16th Promotions at Shop@Home

From now until the first day of June, all orders over $50 at LEGO Shop@Home or the LEGO store will include a free Hulk minifigure. You can see for yourself how cool he is by looking at the banner above. Get it? Banner? Bruce Banner? I actually didn't set that up, it just happened. (If you didn't get the pun, go to the Hulk's Wikipedia page)

This deal is good for ALL LEGO orders. Not just Marvel ones. Get them now before they're gone!
I will be placing my order later today, and you'll see a review up here in a week or so. Make a guess as to which set. I'll give you a hint: The set includes 5 minifigures.

OTHER NEWS: The Lord Of The Rings sets are now available from LEGO.com and retail stores.

'The Greydell Inn' by Parrington Levens

I don't know what it is about inns, but every time I see one I just get a feeling. Kinda like a warm, homey  feeling. And when I saw this inn by Parrington Levens, it came again. Maybe I should see my doctor...

LEGO Monster Fighters 30201 Ghost

Great little polybag coming our way. Not entirely sure when this is coming out. I'd probably say within the next month or so. I think I might pick this one up. You just gotta love that ghost!

Thanks to Brickset for the image.

LEGO Kingdoms Chess Set

It has been quite a while since we've seen a chess set. But now, without any warning, LEGO has released one on Shop@Home.
The LEGO Kingdoms Chess Set contains 328 pieces, 32 minifigures, and costs $49.99. A good deal considering the older chess sets cost the same amount when they only contained minifigs and a board, while this one contains a board holder.

I personally think this may have been a bad idea. LEGO games have never really been that popular in the first place, and to make one based on a theme that is no longer making sets, to me, seems like a mistake. But it's The LEGO Group's decision.

Could This be Post #100?

Yes it is! 100 posts ago was my first post on BrickEnd, and since then a lot has happened. Thanks so much for all you guys have done! This has been a ton of fun so far! And I don't see an end anywhere in the future.

This post is more than just a celebration of this milestone. Oh yes! You know what day it is: Mother's Day!
Thanks to all the mothers that have done so much in this world!

LEGO CUUSOO: Modular Western Town Now at 10,000

It's finally done! Modular Western Town has at last reached 10,000 supporters on LEGO CUUSOO!
After two posts of this project on here, and numerous posts elsewhere, it has finally reached 10,000 and made the LEGO review.
This project is probably the best non-licensed project on LEGO CUUSOO, and it really deserves to be made. But now comes the hard part: waiting.
I have no doubt that this project will become a set. It is an excellent continuation of the classic western theme from many years ago. What reason could there possibly be to not make this a set?

Congratulations to everyone that has supported and advertised this! We finally did it!

Demon's Pillar by Li Li

Wow! Just wow!
This MOC is completely amazing! The lava is very well done. This is one of the best MOCs I've seen in a while! Excellent job Li Li!

Toys R Us Gets Summer Sets

Yes! It has finally happened! As of now Toys R Us stores have the summer 2012 wave of LEGO. This includes The Lord Of The Rings, Monster Fighters, City, Ninjago and more! One problem though: as always, Star Wars will not be for sale until later in the year.
If it weren't for the ridiculous (And I mean RIDICULOUS) price raises, I would go out and pick up some LOTR. But as it is, Gandalf Arrives is $17 itself.
Also, as pictured above, there is a LEGO LOTR Project Case that was unheard of until now.

Check out the new LEGO stuff here.

JRC3 The Hideout at Finder's Falls by Mark Erickson

Lovely foliage here! And that waterfall is very clever. Plus you gotta like that nifty hideout in the back. And the cannibals sneaking up on the pirates. And the... ok, you get it.

Blencathra by Luke Watkins

The walls are amazingly real looking! And the roof design is as slick as... slick stuff!
Great job on this!

LEGO CUUSOO: Firefly Serenity Playset Gets a "No" From LEGO

It happened again. LEGO gives a "No" to yet another CUUSOO project. Firefly Serenity Playset fans had only a few hours to rejoice before LEGO gave the official comment.
I must say this is a disappointment for me. Even though I don't watch the Firefly TV show, I think this model had a lot of potential.
I guess there is really only one CUUSOO rule: If the idea behind the project is for kids, it's good!

Don't get me wrong. I'm sure LEGO had good reasons to do this, and I am very pleased that they are  keeping their targeted age away from mature and/or older child material. I'm just wondering how much more mature this could be then a Monster Fighters theme where people fight zombies and vampires.

LEGO CUUSOO: Firefly Serenity Playset Smashes 10,000 Supporters

The post right under this is of the CUUSOO project Legend of Zelda and it's 10,000 supporters mark. This post is of the Firefly Serenity Playset 10,000 mark. These projects are going by way too fast.

Firefly Serenity Playset was added by Tbone_tbl less than two months ago. I think this sets a record for the fastest project. Supporters just flew in this past week.
This model is really great. While it's a little bulky in some parts, I'm sure the finished model by LEGO will be fantastic. And you gotta love that engine!

Side noteModular Western Town is a little over 800 supporters away from the review. Let's Make it happen!

LEGO CUUSOO: Legend of Zelda Gets 10,000 Supporters

And yet another CUUSOO project reaches 10,000 supporters. I'm starting to lose track... but back to the topic: Legend of Zelda was added in December of 2011 by Mingles. After a steady flow of supporters, this project shot off towards 10,000, and eventually made the review.
I'm beginning to see a pattern here: licensed projects get to 10,000 before non-licensed projects, some that were added much earlier. Oh well. That's the way the votes go. (Not that I mind)

May The Fourth be With You!

It's that time of  year again! LEGO Shop@Home's annual May The Fourth be With You sale begins today!
There are the "already known of" deals such as the free TC-14 protocal droid with Star Wars orders of $75 or more, and the free LEGO R2-D2 poster on all LEGO Star Wars orders. But then there are a ton of  other sales with Star Wars products up to 20% off. View these deals and more here.

Other news: Series 7 of the Collectible Minifigures is officially out in the US!
Unless you've been living under a rock (no offense to people that live under rocks), you should know that last night The Avengers opened up to movie theaters all over the country. If that doesn't make you want to buy LEGO I don't know what will.

May the fourth be with you! (And the Avengers)

9476 The Orc Forge in High-res

Just a couple of days ago, I posted a small blurry pic of this set. But now we have the high-res pic!
This set contains four minifigs: Lurtz, Uruk-hai, two Orcs. 363 pieces and a light brick. Retail price is $39.99.
Scheduled release date for these sets is June first.
I totally love this set! It's a must have for any LEGO LOTR fan, and I intend to be that fan. In other words: I must have it!
Other news: the LEGO The Lord of the Rings sets are available for pre-order on Target.com. Bad news is: 9472 Attack on Weathertop will be priced at $59.99, instead of the hoped for $49.99.

Marvel Super Heroes Polybags

Polybags... polybags... polybags... Oh wait! Marvel polybags! Sometimes it's hard to keep up with all the polybags. But Marvel polybags on the other hand...
To cut to the chase: Three new Marvel Super Heroes polybags are hitting us this year: 30162 Quinjet,  30163 Thor and the Cosmic Cube, 30165 Hawkeye and Equipment.
These will be a great way to get Thor and Hawkeye if you don't want to spend the money to get them in the sets.

Hopefully these will be only $3.50 instead of $4. Every 50¢ counts!
Thanks to Brickset for the images.
I am so excited for The Avengers movie coming out in, can you believe it? TWO DAYS!

Favorite Collectible Minifigure Series Results

The results are in for April's poll: Favorite Collectible Minifigure Series. And the winner is...
Series 6!
Series 6 left all opponents in the dust with 50% of the total vote.
This was a fun poll. I think it really gave the different Series' times to shine. But, April is over, and we are now in the merry month of May. So this month's poll will be:
Favorite LEGO Monster Fighters' Monster Fighter.
Look over to the side bar and vote for your favorite "good guy" in the Monster Fighters theme.
