2013 Galaxy Squad, City, Technic, and Creator at S@H

LEGO has posted the 2013 Galaxy Squad, City, Technic, and Creator sets for sale at Shop@Home. We've seen pretty much everything already, but there are some new pictures of the sets. That's always nice.
With nearly a full month until Christmas, you'll have plenty of time to get in some Holiday shopping. And don't forget, LEGO is still running some free shipping deals.

LEGO CUUSOO: Space Marines Floods 10,000

Just a few short hours after I posted of the Space Marines need for support, the 10,000 supporter mark was achieved. Thanks to advertising on Brickset, and many other people's support, Space Marines fans now only have to wait a few days for the review process to begin.
I have already stated in the post below of my love for this project, so I won't go into anymore detail. But Nick Royer has created a fantastic project! Unfortunately, LEGO's Galaxy Squad will most likely push any hopes of a Space Marines theme out of the picture. But we can still hope for at least one set.

LEGO CUUSOO: Space Marines Support Needed

Space Marines is, without a doubt, one of the best projects that has ever been on CUUSOO. Then why hasn't it got the 10,000 supporters? I have no idea.
This project has been on CUUSOO for nearly a year, and it has been in the top ten for nearly that long.
It has the most comments, with over triple the amount of comments of the second place project. It has the most views, and it currently has the most supporters.

But with the next quarterly review only a few days away, the Space Marines could be in trouble. If they don't get the needed supporters by Monday, they'll have to wait three months before they even begin the review process. Which is a long process.

They only need 80 more supporters. But last week alone they got less than two hundred. With such a close deadline, it will be a tight race.

Hurry up and give your support for the Space Marines!

2013 Star Wars Battle of Hoth

The guys over at Brickset have posted pictures for a previously unannounced 2013 Star Wars set. Not really anything new, but a great Hoth army builder. You hear me, Brickplumber?

75014 Battle of Hoth. Pieces: Unknown. Price: Let's hope no more than $40.

It looks like a mix of the Snowtrooper and Rebel Trooper Battle Packs from a couple years ago. With a tauntaun from the 2009 Echo Base set and a snowspeeder from the Wampa Cave.

I do like the new Rebel Trooper garb on that scout. I'm not sure if the grey helmet is a new piece or just a skateboarding helmet. Or is it hair? It certainly looks like a new piece anyway.
Why in the world are there two Luke Skywalker minifigs in here? Maybe the bottom picture is just a mistake. Cause on the box there's only one. We'll know for certain come 2013.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Sets at Shop@Home

After much waiting, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey sets are now available at Shop@Home and LEGO retail stores. With the release of the film next month, you can be sure these will fly off the shelves.
It's too bad these weren't released yesterday when we could've taken advantage of Cyber Monday sales.

Buy the Hobbit sets now: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey sets.

Series 9 Sneak Peek

LEGO has released a sneak peek of the Collectible Minifigures Series 9 on their Facebook page. Apparently they'll be releasing more images early next week. Let's hope for some front shots.

Autumn in the Park by Nannan Z.

Nannan Zang has built a MOC making great use of the Star Wars planets. What they're supposed to be, I'll never know. But Nannan's MOCs are always so good, and they are rarely easy to understand.
I think my favorite part about this one is the leaves scattered under the trees.

Don't forget, Creations for Charity is in its final days. You can purchase this, and many other great MOCs for reasonable prices to make a child somewhere in the world happy this year.

Collectible Minifigures Series 10 & 11 Lineup

The Collectible Minifigures Series 10 and 11 lineups have been revealed over on The Daily Brick. So much for my theory of LEGO stopping at series 10.
In addition, Eurobricks members have complied some 3D images of what we could possibly get in these next waves.
Series 10:
  • Sea Captain
  • Sad Clown
  • Librarian
  • Grandpa
  • Bumblebee Girl
  • Roman Commander
  • Warrior Woman
  • Decorator
  • Tomahawk Warrior
  • Trendsetter
  • Baseball Fielder
  • Revolution Soldier
  • Motorcycle Mechanic
  • Medusa
  • Skydiver
  • Paintball Player
Series 11:
  • Yeti
  • Evil Mech
  • Welder
  • Lady Robot
  • Jazz Musician
  • Constable
  • Holiday Elf
  • Bavarian Lady
  • Scarecrow
  • Mountain Climber
  • Grandma
  • Tiki Warrior
  • Gingerbread Man
  • Barbarian
  • Dinner Waitress
  • Scientist

As you can read, there are plenty of excellent possibilities here. The Tomahawk Warrior, Revolution Soldier, Bavarian Lady, and Tiki Warrior will most likely be amazing figures.

What do you think about the Series 10 and 11 lineups?

The Hobbit Gandalf Ploybag

Another The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey polybag has been sighted on Ebay. No word on when it'll be available. We'll most likely see it at TRU in the next couple of weeks.

EDIT: This polybag is now available at ToysRUs.

Happy Thanksgiving/Tommy Turkey by Detomaso Pantera

Happy belated Thanksgiving to everyone! After we all happily stuffed ourselves with many different kinds of foods, we then set out for our Black Friday line parties and picked up some very neat stuff.
I personally did not wait out in the cold for any deals. There are plenty to be had online.

On that note, LEGO Shop@Home has some great deals. Including 50% off Series 7 and 8 of the Collectible Minifigures. Unfortunately, these are all sold out.
They also offer free shipping on order over $49. So if you don't want to spend too much, just buy $50 worth.

As you can see in the picture above, Detomaso has built a very realistic turkey. The fan shape must have taken quite a while to figure out. The back view really shows the complexity of the model.

Astronaut Footprint by Custom Bricks

"One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Those famous words spoken so long ago still have a big impact on the world. Custom Bricks has built an amazingly simple, yet not so simple MOC based off of those words.

See it on Mocpages.

2013 Galaxy Squad Sets

The full Galaxy Squad line has been revealed over on Brickset. We get 6 sets: 4 "good guy" sets, and 2 "bad guy" sets.
There are tons of new pieces in these sets. Not only new minifigure gear, but also plenty of new pieces that will make for some great MOCs.

70700 Space Swarmer. 86 pieces. Ages 7-14.

Check out the rest of the line below.

CCCX Onward by Mark Erickson

Mark has built a great winter scene for the CCCX. The forced perspective in this one is awesome. The snow-covered trees and distant peaks add to the chilly atmosphere of the MOC.

30212 Mirkwood Elf Polybag at TRU

The first of hopefully many Hobbit polybags has appeared over at Toysrus. The set contains a brand new Mirkwood Elf minifig. And I think the first ever dark green hood.
For a probable $3.99 price point, it's not bad. Definitely gonna want a couple of these for your elf army.

Calvin and Hobbes by Lego Builders

The great comic book duo of Calvin and Hobbes are rolling around in their wagon. Lego Builders has built plenty more small scenes which are just as good, some even better, than the one above. Check them out!

See more on Mocpages.

2013 Galaxy Squad Minifigure

Images have been leaked of the Galaxy Squad minifigures on Hoth Bricks. Apparently some of the figures are available on Ebay. I don't know how the seller got them since the theme won't be available until January.
I love the look of this figure. LEGO is beginning to make tons of new headpieces for new themes. They are definitely paying plenty of attention to the minifigures. Now if only they'd fix the prices.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Sets at Kmart

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey sets are now available at Kmart. All of them. And you can use coupon code KMART10PSAVINGS for an additional 10%.
Get over to a Kmart to pick up the first ever LEGO Bilbo Baggins. Not to mention the thirteen dwarves. Which I love!

Collectible Minifigures Series 9 Chicken Suit Guy

Only a little over a week after the reveal of the Collectible Minifigures Series 9 Dr. Splitz, we get the Chicken Suit Guy.
Initial reaction: Oh my goodness, that is awesome. Wait a second, where's the feather printing?
LEGO has failed to give us printing where there should be plenty. Are they throwing away a perfectly good chance to prove their printing skills? Maybe this is just an early picture and the suit isn't completed. But I think not.

3300014 Limited Edition Holiday Set

The Limited Edition Holiday set will be given away at Shop@Home and LEGO brand stores as part of their Black Friday event, November 23rd-26th. Just spend $99 or more during those 4 days and you can have this delightful little model.

Thanks to Toysnbricks for the news!

Bear in Mind by Dirk Denoyelle

This is honestly kind of creepy. The idea is awesome, and the execution is awesome. But there's just something about it that I can't get over. Hmm. Ok, I'm over it now.

The River Toll by James Pegrum

Studs, Snot, and foliage combine into a great little medieval vignette by James Pegrum. The trees must have taken some serious patience to get right. They're made out of flexible tubes, for goodness sake.

Odan: K'al Yne Progress 2 by Mike Doyle

Mike Doyle takes a break from his awesome house MOCs and builds into the realm of castle/fantasy. This thing is covered in SNOT. And I mean covered. Tissue, anyone?

Woodchopper Hut by Peter DeYeule

The woodchoppers are hard at work clearing their land. Who would've thought that there were such perfect trees in the forest.

Collectible Minifigures Series 9 Dr. Splitz

The first picture for Series 9 of the Collectible Minifigures has been found! Not a group shot, just a close up of the Dr. Splitz minifigure. Is it Two-face's cousin?

Series 9 will be available in January 2013 with silver packaging.

Thanks to Noriart on Flickr for the picture.

CCCX Avalanche at Deadman's Gorge by Mark Erickson

I certainly wouldn't want to be caught in that avalanche! I love the second guy holding on to the boulder. Though I would hold something a bit more stable.
Awesomely weird tree too.

HONDA REPSOL CBR1000RR by Oryx Chen

From far off this looks like the real deal. Not just plastic. Definitely one of the most lifelike vehicles I've seen built out of LEGO.

Shirtless Darth Maul Polybag at Toysrus

Remember that so-called exclusive Shirtless Darth Maul from SDCC? Well he's not exclusive anymore.
He's up on the TRU website as a promotion: Free with purchase of $25 or more. The promotion is only for online orders, but you can save yourself $20 buy going to a TRU store and paying $5 for one by itself.

Favorite Year of LEGO Poll Closed

October has finally ended! Since last month I didn't put up the new poll until the 5th, I thought you deserved to have this month's poll on the 1st. Not to mention it is the day I'm supposed to put up a new poll. :)

Sorry for those of you that wanted to be able vote for a year earlier than 2000. The list can only be so long you know.
For those of you that voted anyway. Thank you. Your votes are in. Are you ready for the results?
Drumroll please!
The winner for the October poll, Favorite Year of LEGO (Starting in 2000), is... 2013!

With 61% of the total vote, I'm still wondering if you voted for it because you liked what you have seen, or just because it's the unknown. Which one?

After the exciting news of Disney buying Lucasfilm. I just have to do a Star Wars poll. So without further ado, the poll for November 2012 is Favorite Star Wars Film in LEGO.
In other words, which Star Wars film has your favorite LEGO sets?

Don't forget to send me your poll ideas! Just send me a quick email by clicking on the Contact page.
