LEGO Monster Fighters Box Art

Monster Fighters: The name runs a chill up everyone's spine. If I say Monster Fighters box art, that's a different story. But that's what we have today.
Monster Fighters will be a great theme for LEGO. I can't wait till these hit the shelves so I can pick some up.
I'll just list the pictures with the set names under them. Nothing fancy today.

LEGO CUUSOO: BTTF - Delorean Time Macine Reaches 10,000

Slow and steady doesn't always win the race, but it usually finishes. That's what people are saying about M. Togami's CUUSOO project. After a long journey to 10,000, the prize has now been collected and BTTF will soon become an official LEGO product.
Congratulations to everyone that has supported this project!

Iron Man (Tyler Cities, AKA Legohaulic)

Yep it had to be done right? Some times it is not all about how well a MOC is built, or how many pieces the builder has, but what I like the best is when people think outside of the box, and are creative with what they build. We all knew that the minfigure IronMan's head was way way over sized, and this guy is just about what the real size would be, so by putting the problem into this figure he solved it, and made this awesome dude!

9476 The Orc Forge

The Lord of the Rings set 9476 The Orc Forge has been a very secretive set. But we finally have an official box pic! This set includes Lurtz, an Uruk-hai, and two Isengard Orcs.
I see this set being in the $40 range. No news on piece count yet.

Star Wars Summer 2012 Box Art

Star Wars is a theme that many of us look forward to, but we don't look forward to the high prices.
A wave of box art has just appeared on Hothbricks for all the Star Wars sets.
I don't know the prices or piece counts for these, or the official names, for that matter, as the boxes are fuzzy.
Click below to see the rest of the line.

LEGO CUUSOO: The Winchester - Shaun of the Dead Project Gets Canned by LEGO

Unfortunately yes. The LEGO CUUSOO Team dropped The Winchester - Shaun of the Dead project because the film Shaun of the Dead contains content not appropriate for their targeted age range.

EVE Online Ships - Rifter Reaches 10,000 Supporters

It didn't take long. Barely 24 hours after my post about the LEGO CUUSO race between the EVE Online  Rifter and the BTTF DeLorean, the Rifter reached 10,000 supporters. BTTF didn't even put up a fight (Where did the support go?), making less than 150 supporters in the time the Rifter made 940.

Congrats to Czar for making this project. And get ready for a Rifter set!

Air Shark Gunship (By Andreas H.)

Andreas H. really brings it all when it comes to building Gunships. And this bad boy is no exception to it. Take special note on how the thing is weighted properly, and evenly. The cockpit is not one of those crammed in make ups that you usually get on sleek looking copter crafts. This cockpit can actually fit a Minifig and looks all of the better for it.
The Minifigs are another thing to note; it looks like he took some time on getting them suited up in some sweet gear. I mean what isn't to love with those sporty looking Minifig Cat helmets, gasmasks, and BrickArm sniper rifles? I am going to give this guy a good 7/10 for this MOC keep them coming Andreas, and we'll keep checking them out.
For further info on this Moc check out his Mocpages post, and his Flicker Post links given below.

Site Update: New BrickEnd Header

I've made some changes to the header. I think this one looks more sleek, and it has a catchy catch-phrase:
"The Brick Ends Here"

What do you think of the new header? do you love it? Or hate it?! Let me know in the comments.
I may be making some more changes to the site within the next couple weeks, so please don't mind the slight mess that may come out of it.

LEGO Monster Fighters Mini Site Live

In the wake of The Lord Of The Rings mini site, the Monster Fighters mini site is now up!
You can play some games and watch some movies... The usual.
It looks kinda dark if you ask me. The whole crazy monster idea is a little creepy. Of course people will love these sets. What's not to love!?
But I have a feeling that the mother that brings her son to the LEGO store would rather have him buying and playing with knights and ninjas, over zombies, vampires and werewolves.
I don't doubt that this theme will do well. Those are just my thoughts on the idea.

What are your thoughts? Leave a comment below and tell me. I'd love to hear from you.

The Great CUUSOO Race: BTTF vs. EVE Rifter

                         VS.

CUUSOO has had a lot of buzz over the past few months. With the fourth project in the midst of development, they are gaining plenty of publicity. But now to the excitement.
The project Back To The Future(BTTF) - DeLorean Time Machine was created back in August of 2011 by member m. togami and has rapidly gained many supporters, a grand total of 9,034 to be exact.
Seven months later, EVE Online Ships - Rifter, created by czar, started in furiously. It quickly gained hundreds of supporters and this very day passed BTTF with a total of 9,144.

And now the great CUUSOO race has begun. Supporters have been pouring in on these projects. Many people eagerly awaiting to see which one will reach 10,000 first.
I expect to be posting on the success of at least one of these projects by the end of today or early tomorrow.

Of course you can go support these projects yourself by clicking on the links below.

Putting Logic Into Storage by Thoy Bradley

I'm going out of my usual MOC zone to bring you a fantastic overview on the storage of LEGO.
Now we all have our own different ways to sort, some sort by color, others sort by piece, while still others just dump all their bricks in one big container (I don't recommend this by the way). But even though most of us have a pretty sound system, we all can use a few pointers.

This lengthy sorting tour of Thoy Bradley's storage system, is sure to make most all of us go sort some bricks.

I highly recommend seeing it on Mocpages.

10226 Sopwith Camel

It's been a while since we've seen a Military Creator set. But this June we shall receive 10226 Sopwith Camel. This model contains 883 pieces and will retail for $100.
Walmart did have this up on their online store earlier today, but it is now listed as unavailable.

I was really excited when I saw this model. I love WWI planes, and this one is very cool. I might actually pick this one up.

LEGO Architecture:Big Ben

More Architecture is on the way. This time the lucky victim... er... building is the clock-tower that houses the bell nicknamed Big Ben.
This set will be officially known as Big Ben, which is entirely inaccurate since, as stated above, Big Ben is only the Bell, not the clock tower.
I really like the look of this model. Even though it's small, I think this may be one of my favorite Architecture sets (as far as looks go).

World Trade Center, New York by Spencer R.

This is just too beautiful not to post. The model took five years of study and planning, and I can say that the finish was definitely worth the wait.
This is probably one of my favorite micro-scale architecture builds.

See it on Mocpages and Flickr.

Huge Pirate Town - Pirates of the Caribbean - JR3 Contest by Brian Lyles

Maybe the "Huge" in the title is overdoing it? Nope! Not this time.
This huge pirate town by Brian Lyles is just that. Or maybe... Hugeamongous. It doesn't matter what you wanna call it. This town is definitely worth checking out.

Do so by clicking here.

Review: 6865 Captain America's Avenging Cycle

And now for my first ever pictorial review of a LEGO set. I'm not sure how this is gonna go, but let's get on with it.

For this review, I have chosen the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Captain America's Avenging Cycle.
This set is a must have. Not only for the great figures, but because... Just because! The set is surprisingly large for the amount of pieces. The glider, turret and cycle make a pretty good sized heap when grouped together. One of the biggest heaps I have seen for sets this price.

We're getting on towards the release date for The Lord Of The Rings sets in August. But the bios for the characters are now up on the site.

Head over and check 'em out here.

The explosion in this is awesometabulious! (Don't new words rock!?) But this whole MOC is just downright terrificulous! Oh boy...

Oh joy! The long wait is over! With the arrival of Easter, LEGO Shop@Home has finally released the Marvel Super Heroes sets. This means that if you're planning a trip to the LEGO store, you can pick up some nice little goodies.
This release will go great with the deal on Shop@Home: Free LEGO Tote Bag with orders of $99 or more.

But don't let this excitement turn you from the real reason we celebrate Easter: the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Happy Easter everyone!

May Promotions at Shop@Home

LEGO is getting ready for their big May The 4th sale next month. And this year's exclusive minifigure will be a chrome TC-14 Protocol Droid.
This item will be free with any Star Wars purchase of $75 or more from Shop at Home.

To celebrate the release of the Marvel Super Heroes sets later this month, LEGO will be giving away a free Hulk minfigure (A minifigure, not a big lump of plastic with arms) to any order of $50 or more between May 16 and 31.
I do not know if this promotion includes only Marvel orders, or if this will include all LEGO orders.

Thanks to Brick Fanatics for the info.

Poll Closed: Best Marvel Super Heroes Set

Back in early March I put up a poll to find the best Marvel Super Heroes set. The results are now in and the winner is... Captain America's Avenging Cycle.
This set won with 40% of the total vote, and Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout came in a close second with 30%.

Thanks to all who participated in this poll, and there is now a new one up for the month of April: Favorite Collectible Minifigure Series.
Get your vote in, and we'll see the winner at the end of the month.
