LEGO Ultimate Spiderman: 6873 Spiderman's Doc Ock Ambush

Finally, a month or so after seeing the official Spiderman figs, we have obtained a picture of the set.
6873 Spiderman's Doc Ock Ambush will be available in August. Not sure on piece count or price, but I can guess on 350-500 pieces, and a $40-50 price range. Minifigures will be Spiderman, Doc Ock, and Iron Fist. Anybody know who Iron Fist is?
This is Ultimate Spiderman, keep in mind, not The Amazing Spiderman. My theory on why they are making a new Spiderman movie is that Spiderman will be in the second Avengers movie. Why else would they start the story all over again? When you have three movies in the bag already, you usually don't make a fourth one from the beginning unless there is a reason. Like being in the sequel to the fourth biggest movie of all time (Currently).

Thanks to MrToys for the image.

  1. spider man wont be in the next avengers movie because ant man or black panther would be in an avengers movie before spider man maybe for the third avengers but not in the second and its not the fourth movie it is a reboot its not even the same villain as the first movie

    2. I am a huge fan of Marvel and LEGO for that matter. Marvel's The Avengers is done by Paramount and every Spider-Man movie (even the new one is by Columbia Pictures). The movie companies have been sticklers to separating the characters if they are owned by different companies. Unless Paramount and Columbia Pictures are in joint ownership or they make a joint deal, the chances of The Amazing Spider-Man being in an Avengers movie is slim-to-none. If my thinking is correct, anyway, what Marvel Studios is seeking to do is give a classic Avengers feel, not like the current Avengers series in the comics with the New Avengers.

  2. IronFist is a kick-ass Kung Fu super hero from 1970`s Marvel lore...

  3. The reason they rebooted Spiderman is because Toby Maguire demanded too much money. Spiderman won't be in Avengers Assemble 2 because one: Ant- Man, The Wasp and Black Panther (Which a movie of is in production) came first and Spiderman only joined the avengers like last year.(And The Avengers started in like the 60s). Also the other reason is The Amazing Spiderman is made by Sony and Avengers Assemble is by Marvel Studios. This is the same reason The X-men,Fantastic Four,Avengers, Spiderman and Ghost Rider (ECT) will never meet unless they are rebooted or remade by the same companies. The reason it is Lego Ultimate Spiderman not Lego The Amazing Spiderman is because Lego have a contract with disney (For example Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean and Lego Toy Story) and Disney bought Marvel Comics and Marvel Studios. Disney owns the rights to the characters of The X-men and The Amazing Spiderman films but not the actual films. It owns the Avengers though, so that is why there is Lego Avengers. Ultimate Spiderman is a cartoon show that airs on Disney Channel and is owned by Disney so there is a lego set on it.

    1. I actually liked the first films better than The Amazing Spider-man. The first one actually had a story behind it. The Amazing Spider-man felt too much like an action flick. It was good though.

  5. It's from a cartoon on Netflix; The Ultimate Spiderman with Nova, Power Man (aka Luke Cage) and White Tiger, as well as Nick Fury and the Avengers. I highly doubt they're making a new movie.
