LEGO CUUSOO: Latest Review Results

The results of the latest CUUSOO review are in! This review included the winter 2012, spring and summer 2013 review periods. It's been a long review, and some of you may not be happy with the final verdict on some of the projects (there were 10 in all), but I certainly can't complain about the product they picked to be a set. That project was Peter Reid's Exo Suit.

This is, without a doubt, a step in the right direction for LEGO. The fact that they chose this heavily detailed project instead of a simpler model shows that they're willing to try their hands at complicated models. Whether or not they butcher the build in the final set remains to be seen.

As for the fate of the rest of the projects, see it below:
Thinking With Portals: rejected.
Legend of Zelda: rejected.
Mini Shop Series: rejected.
Purdue Pete: rejected.
Andy Bugdroid: rejected.
Land Rover Dfender 110: pending.
Minifig Scale Tumbler: rejected.
Sace Troopers: rejected.
League of Legends: rejected.

This is obviously a little disappointing. Especially with Portals and Space Troopers. Both of these projects were heavily supported. And were very popular. Expect some riots from fans!
The good news is that the Land Rover Defender 110 is pending. Which means there is still hope of it being made into a set. Keep your fingers crossed.

LEGO CUUSOO: Fall 2012 Review Results

While I was on my unintentional blogging hiatus, the LEGO CUUSOO Results were posted for the fall 2012 Review. If you haven't already found out, the Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover was the project chosen to be made into a set.
The LEGO CUUSOO blog posted an article explaining why this project was chosen over the other ones, and I think it'll do a much better job of helping you understand the results than I could do. So click the button below and find out the results of the Fall Review.

10 Things I Liked about The Hobbit: AUJ, and 10 I Didn't

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hit theaters early Friday morning. I was there with my 3D glasses, prepared for a HFR (high frame-rate) adventure.
Is The Hobbit really worth all the hype? Was the HFR terribly distracting? Will this really work with 3 movies?

While I won't be giving a review just yet (that may come after my second viewing), I have compiled a list of the 10 things I did and didn't like about The Hobbit.

Warning! The following post is riddled with spoilers. To avoid ruining an amazing movie, read this post after viewing the film.

Review: CMF Series 9 on Eurobricks

Eurobricks member Whitefang has done an awesome review of the Collectible Minifigures Series 9. You may remember him reviewing every other series over there. But this one stands out as one of the best.
Complete with a Cyclops, Forest Maiden, Battle Mech, and Plumber, this series may be one of the most sought after ones since series 1. Which you'll remember was only so sought after because of the very limited quantity.

Check out Whitefang's review on Eurobricks.

Review: 6865 Captain America's Avenging Cycle

And now for my first ever pictorial review of a LEGO set. I'm not sure how this is gonna go, but let's get on with it.

For this review, I have chosen the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Captain America's Avenging Cycle.
This set is a must have. Not only for the great figures, but because... Just because! The set is surprisingly large for the amount of pieces. The glider, turret and cycle make a pretty good sized heap when grouped together. One of the biggest heaps I have seen for sets this price.

Well, he has done it again! This time you can see the entire Series 7 in another masterful review.
