This Rivendell created by Alice Finch on Flickr is the perfect MOC to look at this morning. Obviously because The Hobbit: DoS was released last night. For those of you that haven't seen the film yet, I recommend you do. Visually stunning. Plot... let's just say it's not quite as stunning. But enough with the movie, let's talk about the MOC.
While it may not look too much like other Rivendell MOCs, or the Rivendell from the film for that matter, it's no less impressive. There is a fantastic attention to detail. From the roof designs to the water-horses. Check out a larger image and more by clicking the link below.

Legends of Brickdom Challenge Part 1 - Uncovering Answers by K.Kreations
K.Kreations built this MOC for the Legends of Brickdom challenge. I haven't seen any of the other entries, but I should think he has a pretty good chance with this creation.
I love the SNOT rocks. It must have taken some serious skill and patience to get it so right. I can imagine there were some head-scratching moments while building this.
Overall a very nice creation. I can't wait to see more from this builder.

Dragonfly by Gabe Umland
This Dragonfly has everything it needs. I love olive-green, and this creation puts it to great use.
I had the pleasure of meeting Gabe and seeing this MOC at BrickFair New England. It was definitely one of the highlights of the trip, hanging out with Gabe, that is, not seeing the Dragonfly. Though that was quite cool too.

UAU6 "Winter Moon" by Mondayn00dle
This roving beauty is one of the few MOCs that can successfully pull off stickers. You really have to hand it to Mondayn00dle, this MOC is just so sleek and smooth. It looks like something that could be in the new(ish) Tom Cruise film Oblivion.

Darkmire Mill by Luke Watkins
Derfel Cadarn makes his return with a beautiful little Mill. While I would like to let the picture speak for itslef. I can't. I have to say one thing: picturesque!

Finders Keepers by Ochre Jelly
Apparently I wasn't the only one that thought the LEGO One Ring was too big for minifigures. Ochre Jelly (Iain Heath) has used the One Ring the way it should be used - By brick-built figures.
I don't think there is one flaw in this entire MOC. From Bilbo's hair, to his jacket, to Gollum's eyes, everything is masterfully done.
With the nationwide release of The Hobbit less than 48 hours away, the timing of this MOC couldn't have been better.

LEGO Rubik's Cube by Jameson42
How many millions of you have been delighted and stumped by the Rubik's Cube? Maybe even more delighting is this MOC by Jameson 42 on Flickr.
I knew it was only a matter of time untill it was done. The LEGO dice were screaming "Rubik's Cube!" from when I first saw them.
Nonfunctional, but still great!

Lego Headphones by Eldeem
I thought these were real for about 5 seconds. That's longer than most LEGO object representations can fool me.
These are so realistic, I'm pretty sure Eldeem could fool the maker of these headphones. :)

The Mighty Castle of Buduje by Flare.
This castle is indeed mighty. The walls mix dark tan (one of my favorite LEGO colors) and grey to create a perfect little gate. In case you can't see from this angle, the bridge is a new design that I don't think I have seen before. I probably have, but I don't remember.

Seaside Sanctuary by Adam L.
Adam has done a great job on this build. The castle is very clean, and the colors are really good. My eyes hurt just looking at the water. And to think that only one Helm's Deep went into this.
Have you noticed that this is the second builder featured on here in a row to have the name Adam?

Liberty Bell by Legohaulic/Happy Independence Day
Happy Independence Day to all you out there! Today, we Americans remember our forefathers fight for freedom from Great Britain.
July 4th, 1776 Marked the day the Declaration of Independence was signed declaring us a free country.
To go along with this great event, Legohaulic has made a gorgeous Liberty Bell. The design on this is fantastic. The use of revolvers is a great touch.

Air Shark Gunship (By Andreas H.)
Andreas H. really brings it all when it comes to building Gunships. And this bad boy is no exception to it. Take special note on how the thing is weighted properly, and evenly. The cockpit is not one of those crammed in make ups that you usually get on sleek looking copter crafts. This cockpit can actually fit a Minifig and looks all of the better for it.
The Minifigs are another thing to note; it looks like he took some time on getting them suited up in some sweet gear. I mean what isn't to love with those sporty looking Minifig Cat helmets, gasmasks, and BrickArm sniper rifles? I am going to give this guy a good 7/10 for this MOC keep them coming Andreas, and we'll keep checking them out.
For further info on this Moc check out his Mocpages post, and his Flicker Post links given below.

World Trade Center, New York by Spencer R.
This is just too beautiful not to post. The model took five years of study and planning, and I can say that the finish was definitely worth the wait.
This is probably one of my favorite micro-scale architecture builds.

TRON LIGHT CYCLE by Peter Mowry
Tron Legacy was more than just a fun adventure movie, the vehicles were purely amazing and the film left most LEGO builders with an aching to build.
It's hard to pull off these great vehicles, but Peter Mowry may have made the best possible LEGO Light Cycle ever!
