Pokemon: Rapidash by Mike Nieves

Though I never was into Pokémon, and probably never will be, I know a good MOC when I see one. And that's exactly what Mike Nieves Rapidash is. Not only are some of the parts used incredibly difficult to work with, the model is very realistic looking.
I really can't decide what I like better, the flaming mane and tail, or the intricately designed neck. Oh well, I like them both.

LYNX Z1 - Heavy Assault Mech & Co. by David Steeves

This is one of those mechs that you would not want to meet in an alley. Or anywhere else for that matter. Things might not go too well.
I really like the leg design on this thing. It's a little square, but still good. And the missile launchers more than make up for it.
Am I the only one that thinks of Pacific Rim when looking at this MOC?

It's that time of year again - the time when we all stuff ourselves with amazing food and then groan about overeating. But hey, it's worth it!

The LEGO Ancient Chinese Tang's Horse by Schfio Factory

It's been well over a year since I've last blogged Schfio Factory. He makes his return with an artfully built horse. The MOC looks good in this picture, but when seen at different angles, it looks brilliant! I especially love the design of the tail and legs.

The Amazing Spider-Man by Gabe Moore

Gabe Moore loves to make LDD models of super heroes. This time, he's built the Amazing Spiderman. And it is amazing! Lots of the parts used are very hard to find a good use for, yet Gabe was able to use several awkward pieces. And Spidey looks all all the better for it.

Vanishing Point by Nick Barrett

For round 5 of the MOCOlympics, Nick Barrett was given the category of forced perspective. Forced Perspective is, as some of you know, using bricks and an odd camera angle to force the audience to believe the MOC is really much deeper than it is. Though in fact the MOC could only be a few inches deep or so, the audience can think it goes on for several feet, or even miles.
Given a task this difficult, I'd say Nick really did an excellent job. Not only is the road decieving in it's length, but the car he built to drive on it is a work of art in itself.

Owl by Mihai Marius Mihu

This owl by Mihai Marius Mihu is, dare I say it, downright cute. While that's a word I usually try not to use when it comes to MOCs, I really can't honestly use any other word. Or I could use the word the MOCer uses to describe it: He merely says "Owl."
I love the use of the spikes for ear-feather-things, nice NPU!

Batman: Arkham Asylum by Kyle Ransom

Check out this cool Arkham Asylum by Kyle Ransom. It's definitely a different take on the building. Most Arkham Asylum builds don't include the surrounding grounds. Something I like about this MOC. Interestingly enough, Mr. Xenomurphy released an Arkham MOC just a week ago. You can check that out here.

Sarlina's Cottage by David Hensel

Check out this crooked little cottage by David Hensel. When I first saw it, I though it was another Luke Watkins (a.k.a Derfel Cadarn) build. And that's saying something. Change the colors on this building, add a zombie or two, and it's perfect for a Halloween MOC.
I'm in a creepy-ish MOC mood. Very fitting considering what day it is.

Commission - Cair Paravel by Paul Veermeesh

This microscale model was designed by Paul Vermeesch and built by elementary students in Michigan. Paul has done quite a few building classes with kids over the past year to let kids become familiar with building, learn new techniques, and have fun. Well I'm sure they had fun with this project. Though Paul probably wanted to do something violent while designing it in LLD. The effort was worth it though. And I'm sure it made the kids' day.

Check out these mini skyscrapers by Yo-Sub Joo! Of course, the gold building is instantly eye-catching. Who doesn't like a big gold skyscraper? But the other buildings are certainly worth looking at. They may not be as big, but they're still pretty cool.

Ninjago Overlord And Golden Dragon by Mike Nieves

Check out these magnificent Ninjago dragons! Mike Nieves must have put a lot of thought into these MOCs. Both are cleverly built. The first one (above) is my favorite. The gold really does what no other color could do. And the wing design is great. The Overlord (below) on the other hand, Is a menacing beast that could probably rip the arms off of anything. And would be glad to do it!

ESCHER... Relativity by Riccardo Zangelmi

Escher's Relativity seems to be a popular work of art that LEGO builders try to capture in bricks. The most notable of these would be Paul Vermeesch's Star Wars Relativity. But for a more true version, Riccardo Zangelmi's MOC would probably be my favorite. It's a very clean, organized MOC. One that stimulates the brain a bit more than Paul's. Nothing against Paul, his MOC is fantastic! But this post is about Riccardo's build.

The Incredible Hulk by Outer Rim Emperor

Bruce Banner transforms into the Hulk and beats the stuffing out of four punk-motorcyclists in this MOC by Outer Rim Emperor. The thing that caught my eye was the lighting. I do love me a well-lit MOC!

MOCOlympics Round 2: Blake Baer vs. Jamesuniverse

Blake Baer is always in his element during the MocOlympics. This was evident last year, and this year he is (could it be possible?) even better. And this MOC is why!
Just an excellent build all around. Highlights are the wings on the horse, the archway, and the forced perspective city. But the whole MOC deserves a better look.

Passing Sherwood by LL Lolino

Check out this wonderful, oddly shaped MOC by LL Lolino. It must have been a bit of a trick to get the water to flow the way it is. But obviously the work payed off, as you can tell.
I applaud LL's building technique. It really is fabulous. Captures the forest perfectly.

Clavin Mosaic by Alex Rhode

It's everyone's favorite comic-book character in this little mosaic by Alex Rhode. Alex says it was only a short 45 minute build, but short is sweet for this MOC. And I'm sure there are some us who couldn't do something this good with twice as much time.

M.O. Round 1; Sagittarius The Centaur by Lego Junkie

The MocOlympics are back! I feel like it was just a few months ago that I was saying it, but it has been over a year! Of course, like most Mocpages contests, the MocOlympics brings out some fantastic MOCs. And this Centaur by Lego Junkie is no exception.
I just love the whole MOC! From the great rock and tree work, to the fragile helmet, all the way to the six-pack on this guy- er, centaur.
