2014 Marvel Super Heroes Images Unveiled

This isn't exactly the freshest news on earth, but the 2014 Marvel Super Heroes box art has been revealed. The only major difference from the sneak peek we saw earlier this month is the better images. But we also know that the Spiderman sets are from the Ultimate Spiderman TV show and not The Amazing Spiderman 2, and the other two sets are from the Avengers Assemble show.

Note: The prices projected for these sets are merely guesses. So far no information has been revealed concerning price points.

76014 Spider-Trike vs. Electro. Minifigures: Spiderman, Electro. 70 pieces. Price: $9.99-$12.99.

2014 Marvel Sets

Thanks to an Australian consumer magazine, we have some new images of the 2014 Marvel Super Heroes sets. Three Spiderman sets, a Captain America set, and a Thor/Hulk set make up the wave. Not sure if the Spiderman sets are from The Amazing Spiderman 2 or not. The Captain America one appears to be a more cartoon version of The First Avenger, and I have no idea where the Thor one comes from.

76014 Spider-Trike vs. Electro.
76015 Doc Ock Truck Heist
76016 Spider-Helicopter Rescue
76017 Captain America vs. Hydra
76018 Hulk Lab Smash

Looks like a pretty solid wave. With some fantastic minifigures (Electro, anyone?). Expect more details soon.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Trailer

This may be considered old news for some of you (old meaning yesterday), but the first trailer for Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier has been released. Like every movie so far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it looks like an action-packed, obsession-worthy film.
We can only wonder as to what sets LEGO will release for this film. There are plenty of options, and they have a large cast of characters to use. I don't think I'd mind a Falcon minifig just about now, would you?
We still have to wait a few months for the film to hit theaters, but with Thor: The Dark World coming out in just two weeks, and with the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy and Amazing Spiderman 2 films, we should have plenty of Marvel goodness to tie us over.

Marvel Super Heroes Pre-order Iron Patriot Bonus

Walmart is having a special pre-order bonus for the Marvel Super Heroes Video Game. Pre-order a console version of the game and you will receive an Iron Patriot polybag.
Stinks for those of us that want the figure but not necessarily the game. LEGO's promotions are getting just plain annoying!
Thanks to FBTB for the info!

Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man 3 Sets

Images of the Iron Man 3 sets have at last been revealed. Actually, they were revealed nearly a week ago, but due to a busy schedule, and probably me just being lazy, I have failed to post them until now.
We'll be getting three sets, each with a new and different version of Iron Man, and a second Ben Kingsley LEGO character.

76008 Iron Man vs. The Mandarin: Ultimate Showdown
91 pieces. Minifigures: Iron Man, The Mandarin.
Estimated price: $12.99.

76006 Iron Man: Extremis Sea Port Battle
195 pieces. Minifigures: Iron Man, War Machine, Bad guy with a scary face.
Estimated price: $19.99.

A little spoiler here. Iron Man and War Machine work together to take down a dangerous villain. Probably one of The Mandarin's henchmen. Gotta love that War Machine figure!

76007 Iron Man: Malibu Mansion Attack
364 pieces. Minifigures: Iron Man, Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, The Mandarin, Evil Henchmen.
Estimated price: $39.99.

If the picture of this set has anything to do with the movie, then we know that Pepper Potts puts on the Iron Man armor and possibly fights The Mandarin.
I'm very happy we'll be getting a Tony Stark figure. No one hangs out in an armor suit all day.

What do you think of the Iron Man 3 sets?

War Machine Minifigure Revealed?

I had refrained from posting this earlier because of it possibly being a fake, but because so many other sites have been accepting it as fact, and because I can't bear not to speculate, I have decided to post it here. If it's fake, we shall be laughed at together.
This War Machine minifigure from Iron Man 2 was listed late last week on Ebay. How the seller got this figure we shall never know. LEGO does seem to have a problem with Ebay sellers listing figs months before the release date.

If these are real, it means we will be receiving Iron Man 2 sets as well as Iron Man 3 sets. Because, as most of us know, this suit (with this paint job) has so far only been seen in Iron Man 2. In Iron Man 3 it gets a stars and stripes paint job by the US Military.
An Expo fight scene set would be great. With Iron Man, several rogue machines, and War Machine. Wouldn't a chain-gun look great mounted on the shoulder of this thing?

Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Announced

Imagine playing as the LEGO Hulk, running around a video game world smashing everything(and everyone) in sight! I'm sure most of you have wanted to do this very badly, I know I have. But want no more! Soon you will be able to play as the Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, and many other Marvel characters on LEGO's newest video game.
Though I don't usually get the LEGO games (unless they are extremely awesome), I will be getting this one as soon as I can.
Official press release below.

Marvel super heroes are assembling for an action-packed, brick-smashing good time! Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group and Marvel Entertainment announced today that “LEGO Marvel Super Heroes” will be available beginning Fall 2013 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, the Wii U system and Windows PC, as well as the Nintendo DS handheld system, Nintendo 3DS handheld system and PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system. “LEGO Marvel Super Heroes” is the first instalment in the highly successful LEGO videogame franchise to feature famous Marvel characters.
“LEGO Marvel Super Heroes,” coming Fall 2013
“LEGO Marvel Super Heroes” complements the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes construction toy collection, which brings the characters, vehicles and action of Marvel’s renowned universe to the world of LEGO build-and-play adventure. There are currently eight iconic scenes from the X-Men, Iron Man and Spider-Man franchises available and more construction sets tied to the new “Iron Man 3″ feature film will launch later this spring.
“LEGO Marvel Super Heroes” offers an original storyline in which Nick Fury calls upon Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Wolverine and other heroes spanning the Marvel Universe to save Earth from such threats as the vengeance of Loki and the hunger of Galactus, Devourer of the Worlds. LEGO and Marvel fans will enjoy classic LEGO videogame adventure and humor, while playing as their favorite Marvel characters.
“We’re very excited to bring a myriad of classic Marvel characters to life in LEGO form for some fun, family-friendly gameplay in ‘LEGO Marvel Super Heroes,’” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games Publishing. “Players will brave the ultimate mission to save the world as they explore famous landmarks in LEGO New York and take the adventure beyond Earth to iconic locations in the Marvel Universe.”
“Fans of both LEGO and Marvel have wanted this game for years, and we’re addressing that demand with more Marvel Universe characters than ever in a console game,” said TQ Jefferson, Vice President, Games Production, Marvel Entertainment. “If you’re a fan of Spider-Man, the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy or scores of other Marvel characters, this is the game for you.”
In “LEGO Marvel Super Heroes,” players will unlock more than 100 characters from across the Marvel Universe, including fan favorites like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Deadpool, Loki and Galactus! The game will pack in a plethora of super-cool character abilities, combat-like action sequences, epic battle scenes, puzzle-solving and a unique story told with playful LEGO humor.
“LEGO Marvel Super Heroes” is being developed by TT Games and will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. For more information, please visithttp://videogames.lego.com/en-us/lego-marvel-super-heroes.

Sound exciting? Wicked exciting! The thing making me most happy now will be to see Cap's awesome shield-smashing abilities. And Spidey's web-flying from building to building.

Coming Fall 2013 after the release of Iron Man 3 and just before the release of Thor: The Dark World.
This will be a game you won't want to miss!

Two New 2013 Super Heroes Sets

Two more Super Heroes set images have come up. No word on price or piece count.

76004 Spider-Man Cycle Chase
76000 Arctic Batman and Mr. Freeze

Aqua-Man, Venom, and Nick Fury make their LEGO debuts in these two sets. Not to mention Arctic Batman. My guess is a $20-$30 price range.

LEGO Super Heroes Spider-Man - Daily Bugle Showdown and The Bat vs. Bane - Tumbler Chase

NYCC is just bursting with LEGO goodness. And you thought TMNT was good.
How about Super Heroes Spider-Man - Daily Bugle Showdown with Spidey, Jonah Jameson, Novah, Beetle, and Doctor Doom. Convinced yet?
How about 476 pieces with a $49.99 price tag. Sound good?

I can't wait for this set. Being a big Spider-Man fan myself I am in love. Okay, not really. But the Daily Bugle is a great building. And I think I like it even more after seeing it built out of my favorite toy.

DC fans! Don't leave yet. Check this out!
The Bat vs. Bane - Tumbler Chase with Batman, Bane, and Commissioner Gordon.
368 pieces and $39.99.

I'm not really much of a Batman fan (Spidey is just too cool!) but I do like the look of this. A smaller Tumbler has been wanted by fans for awhile. Though I think this one may be a bit too small.
DC fans, what say you?

New LEGO Marvel and DC Set Info

Images of the 2013 Super Heroes line have been leaked. Unfortunately no Marvel, only DC. And those of you that have been following this blog for a while know that I am partial to Marvel. But Marvel fans fear not! We do have some set listings:

  • 76004 Spider-man - Hunting with Spider-Cycle
  • 76005 Spider-man - Mission at Daily Bugle
  • 76007 Super Heroes: Marvel 4
These are just dripping with possibilities. But you DC fans are probably waiting for your info. Well, there actually isn't any. The only thing to know is if you buy Batman: The Visual Dictionary you will have access to both of these DC images.

Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet. I'm giving up on guessing prices, cause the last few times I guessed I grossly underestimated the prices. Much to my embarrassment.
And of course, above you can see Mr. Freeze riding something. No idea what.

Okay, I lied. There actually is more DC info. So DC fans rejoice!
76000 Arctic Batman vs. Mr. Freeze - Aquaman on Ice
67001 Batman vs. Bane - Chase With Tumbler

Those are your newest leaks from LEGO. Keep coming back in the next few months as we'll be seeing lots more.

Marvel Ultimate Spider-man's Doc Ock Ambush at S@H

Shop@Home finally has the Ultimate Spider-man's Doc Ock Ambush for sale for the pretty little price of $30. I guess I shouldn't say finally, as this set was scheduled for an August release date. But at least we have it. And $30 is a small price considering the 295 piece count and the fact that this is a licensed set. But so far, all the Super Heroes sets seem to be decently priced.
This set should go well with all the hype from the new movie. So if you like Spider-man, get this now!

LEGO Super Heroes Minifigs For 2013

Comic Con is in full swing. And FBTB has been kind enough to take pictures of nearly everything we want to see. The newest photos now are the Marvel and DC Super Heroes figs. These vary from Venom to Scarecrow, Batman to Beetle, and all are amazing.
There are over twenty figs, so I'll only post pictures of two for now. These are two that we have been anxiously waiting for. The first, as you can see, is Venom. A beautiful figure that lots of people will want to get their hands on. The second, as seen below, is Nick Fury.
Nick Fury has been a long awaited character. And with the release of The Avengers, his fans have grown.
He looks good. I wish he had a coat, but, I guess we'll have to do with he way he is.

Click here to view the entire Super Heroes minifigure line. And see such figs as Bane, Spider-man, Nova, Penguin, and many more.
Keep checking back as we will be updating every time something good surfaces.

Ultimate Spider-man's Doc Ock Ambush

Official non-blurry pictures are now available of the Ultimate Spider-man Doc Ock Ambush. Still no word on price or piece count though. My guess would be $40, and a 300-400 piece range.

I wish this was The Amazing Spider-man, as that movie looks totally cool, and, it will be released in the US tonight! The movie that is, not the set. But as it is, we'll have to deal with a cartoon TV-show for our LEGO Spider-man needs.

Thanks to BrickHeroes for the pictures.

This is one amazing figure! The detail in his arms, torso, legs, and everything is just crazy!

Review: 6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle

Here you go: The review you've been waiting over two weeks for! Sorry it has taken me so long to get this up. But here it is! Finally.
Before I get any further, I want to give you guys a few heads ups! First, please forgive the photo quality. Photographing a set this big can be a bit of a pain. Second, some of the pieces may look dusty. I want to tell you that it is not dust. It is the middle of pollen season here, and pollen goes everywhere inside and out. And the final heads up is a big one of these babies:
***SPOILERS AHEAD! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!***

LEGO Ultimate Spiderman: 6873 Spiderman's Doc Ock Ambush

Finally, a month or so after seeing the official Spiderman figs, we have obtained a picture of the set.
6873 Spiderman's Doc Ock Ambush will be available in August. Not sure on piece count or price, but I can guess on 350-500 pieces, and a $40-50 price range. Minifigures will be Spiderman, Doc Ock, and Iron Fist. Anybody know who Iron Fist is?
This is Ultimate Spiderman, keep in mind, not The Amazing Spiderman. My theory on why they are making a new Spiderman movie is that Spiderman will be in the second Avengers movie. Why else would they start the story all over again? When you have three movies in the bag already, you usually don't make a fourth one from the beginning unless there is a reason. Like being in the sequel to the fourth biggest movie of all time (Currently).

Thanks to MrToys for the image.
