2014 LEGO DK Books Announced

Dorling Kindersley has a whole new wave of LEGO books headed our way next year. While most are nothing more than story books, sticker books, and the odd Brickmaster, there are a few that stand out from the crowd. These being a new Star Wars Visual Dictionary, Friends Character Encyclopedia, and Legends of Chima: The Secret History.
The first Star Wars dictionary came out in 2009, so this should be a great collectors book. What with nearly 5 years of sets added.
The Friends Character Encyclopedia on the other hand, sounds like a flop. A) I don't think there are enough characters to make the theme worthy of an encyclopedia. And B) I don't really think that many people would be interested in owning one. Except for the exclusive figure. I have nothing against Friends, it just seems a little early for a character encyclopedia. Then again, there are at least 4 different versions of each girl.
As for the LoC book, I can only guess as to what it might be. Could be a dictionary of some sort.

New York Toy Fair Pictures (Star Wars, LOTR, Castle, More)

Hundreds of pictures from the New York Toy Fair have been released. Not to mention numerous videos from The BrickShow. Most of the sets have excellent prices. And the minifigs just keep improving.

I'm very excited for Star Wars and LOTR. Lord of the Rings has some beautiful sets with very cheap prices, and while this Star Wars wave is mostly a remake of older sets, the prices have improved, as well as the minifigs.

LEGO DK Books for 2013

Details of the 9 newest  2013 LEGO DK books have been released by Dorling Kindersley. A few Brickmaster books, some sticker books, and my favorite: dictionary/encyclopedia books.

Brickmaster: Legends of Chima: The Quest for Chi (Available in May)
Brickmaster: Star Wars: Battle For The Stolen Crystals (September)
Friends Ultimate Sticker Collection (March)
LEGO Hero Factory Ultimate Sticker Collection (August)
LEGO Legends of Chima Ultimate Sticker Collection (May)
LEGO Minifigure: Year by Year (October)

The LEGO Play Book (September)

The Year by Year Minifigure book should be awesome! Especially if it contains every minifigure ever made. This will be a big collectors item. And if the Character Encyclopedia has every minifig too, that'd be great!
Of course, the LEGO Play Book should be a lot like the LEGO Ideas book from a while ago. But with  models like the Ideas book, It'll be a treat to look through.
Can't wait for these to be available!

I don't understand what the big deal is with the character encyclopedias, they have great pictures and all, but most of the information is already known by at least 50% of LEGO fans, and I have found several errors in the information too.

I'm still gonna get them though. After all, they are collectors items.
