Merry Belated Christmas From BrickEnd

Yes, it's December 26th. Yes, officially Christmas is over. Yes, here I am a day late wishing you all a merry Christmas. During all of the festivities of yesterday I failed to post and give my seasonal greetings. But here I am today trying to make it up to you.
I hope all of you had a very great Christmas. Not only for presents, but also for spending time with family and friends. Cause when it really boils down to it, it's being together what really counts on days like yesterday. I know some of you younger kids are probably like "what?" But don't worry. You'll understand when you're older. For now, I'm glad you got your Chima Lion Temple or Ewok Village.

LEGO CUUSOO: League of Legends of LEGO Sneaks up to 10,000

Apparently when I wasn't looking League of Legends of LEGO reached 10,000 supporters and snuck into the June 2013 LEGO CUUSOO review.
This should be a good set. I haven't played League of Legends, but I know it's very popular. LEGO can't resist to make more money off of a video game. Let's hope there are no licensing problems.
The June review is in the works. We should be seeing the results soon.

BrickFair NE is Here!

BrickFair New England has arrived! For those of you that are exhibitors, you are probably already at the convention, enjoying the two exhibitor-only days before the public arrives.
This is the first LEGO fan convention in New England, and hopefully not the last! In fact, it has turned out to be quite the event, with it sizing up to be larger than the 2nd BrickFair Alabama.

The public days are Saturday and Sunday. I hope you plan on attending. It will be a weekend to remember. I'll be there Friday and Saturday. Looking at all the cool MOCs and meeting other LEGO fans. If you stop by, don't forget to say hi to me.

Yes, it's March 6th. The February poll ended nearly a week ago. Why didn't I post the winner sooner? Good question. With a not so good answer. I think I'll leave it at that.

February 2013 is history. As is yet another BrickEnd poll. Last month you voted for your favorite 2013 Lone Ranger set.

You may be wondering what statement you made by selecting this set as your favorite. Well, you proved that it's not alway the biggest or most intricate set that brings in the crowds. It's the one the public loves. And since most of us have been waiting for U.S. Cavalry Soldiers for a long time, it's really no surprise that this set won.

From now on I won't be continuing the monthly polls. If you really want me to continue and have ideas, email me your ideas. You might be surprised how hard it is to find a new poll idea every month.
Also, I believe this month is the 1 year anniversary of the first monthly poll. So that is another reason we can stop. Don't want to use up those polls!

BrickEnd Celebrates 2 Years! + Giveaway!

Today, January 21st 2013, BrickEnd celebrates 2 years of existence! It's been a great experience, despite the ups and downs. I have personally written over 300 posts for this site, and I'm very happy so many of you have the same enjoyment in reading them as I do in writing them.
Even though I've only been blogging consistently for about a year, the response has been better than I could hope for. And I've got you to thank for that. So in honor of this milestone, we'll be hosting our first giveaway!

We will be giving away two brand new Series 5 Collectible Minifigures. One Gladiator and one Evil Dwarf. Two people, chosen at random, will each receive one of the figures. Both are brand new, never been assembled. The bags have been opened to verify the contents, but nothing has been taken out.

Favorite LEGO The Hobbit Set Poll Closed

After such an amazing movie, I would've thought there'd be more votes in last month's poll. But there were barely any. And the final vote count does makes me wonder. But yes, 79001 Escape From Mirkwood Spiders won the poll fair and square. (I hope)
This set won with 50% of the vote. That is a lot for a set going up against what many consider the best set of all time. That set would be An Unexpected Gathering.

Welcome to 2013 everyone! The Holiday's are over, and it's time to get back to normal life. We'll start that off with a brand new poll. Favorite Action/Adventure Theme.

Favorite Star Wars Film in LEGO Poll Closed

So sorry for the delay in posting this, because we all know it's December 2nd. I'll make it up to you. Just keep reading.
After a really close race in the November 2012 poll, one winner emerged victorious! For those of you that don't remember, the poll was for your favorite representation of a Star Wars film in LEGO bricks.

The Clone Wars TV Show!

This TV show brought a whole new field of greatness to the Star Wars galaxy. So it's no wonder this option won. But the excitement of Star Wars Episode VII is over, and the time of The Hobbit has begun! As you all know, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be released in theaters everywhere on the 14th. I hope you've bought your tickets, this will be a movie you don't want to miss.

Because I'm such a big LOTR fan, this month's poll will be for your Favorite LEGO The Hobbit Set. Choose your favorite. Or maybe wait till The Hobbit comes out and make your decision based on the film.

Favorite Team GB Collectible Minifigure Poll Closed/New Poll

A little over a month ago, one of the largest Olympic Games EVER took place in London. To celebrate those games, the poll for the month of August was for the Favorite Team GB Collectible Minifigure. Unfortunately, after the London hype wore off, many of us were wondering why I didn't have that poll in September. The answer is: I have no idea!

And the winner for the BrickEnd August 2012 Poll is... THE BRAWNY BOXER!

Hooray for the Boxer! He put up a good fight against his Team GB partners and emerged victorious! 

Well that was fun. But what's next?

The poll for the month of September will be for your Favorite Licensed Theme! You must have a favorite. Everybody does.
This could be an extremely close race. There are so many good themes! But only one will have the power to win (or the fan base).

Yes it is! 100 posts ago was my first post on BrickEnd, and since then a lot has happened. Thanks so much for all you guys have done! This has been a ton of fun so far! And I don't see an end anywhere in the future.

This post is more than just a celebration of this milestone. Oh yes! You know what day it is: Mother's Day!
Thanks to all the mothers that have done so much in this world!

Site Update: New BrickEnd Header

I've made some changes to the header. I think this one looks more sleek, and it has a catchy catch-phrase:

"The Brick Ends Here"

I may be making some more changes to the site within the next couple weeks, so please don't mind the slight mess that may come out of it.
