Favorite LEGO The Hobbit Set Poll Closed

After such an amazing movie, I would've thought there'd be more votes in last month's poll. But there were barely any. And the final vote count does makes me wonder. But yes, 79001 Escape From Mirkwood Spiders won the poll fair and square. (I hope)
This set won with 50% of the vote. That is a lot for a set going up against what many consider the best set of all time. That set would be An Unexpected Gathering.

This'll be a cheap way to get hold of a lot of zombies. That is if you want to spend $75 a bunch of times. Or, use bricklink.

The elements are attacking! I can say that I really wouldn't want to be in that tower. But I'll look at it.
The buildings are great designs. And that rock monster is awesome!

Favorite LEGO Monster Fighters' Monster Fighter Results

The poll of May is officially ended. It was a close race all the way. The heroes of the Monster Fighters theme collected votes from all over the internet. In the end, two final heroes tied for first place.

After TRU got the new Monster Fighters sets we knew it was only a matter of time before LEGO released them. "The time has come!" The walrus said... Never mind.

Great little polybag coming our way. Not entirely sure when this is coming out. I'd probably say within the next month or so. I think I might pick this one up. You just gotta love that ghost!

Toys R Us Gets Summer Sets

Yes! It has finally happened! As of now Toys R Us stores have the summer 2012 wave of LEGO. This includes The Lord Of The Rings, Monster Fighters, City, Ninjago and more! One problem though: as always, Star Wars will not be for sale until later in the year.
If it weren't for the ridiculous (And I mean RIDICULOUS) price raises, I would go out and pick up some LOTR. But as it is, Gandalf Arrives is $17 itself.
Also, as pictured above, there is a LEGO LOTR Project Case that was unheard of until now.

Monster Fighters: The name runs a chill up everyone's spine. If I say Monster Fighters box art, that's a different story. But that's what we have today. 

Monster Fighters will be a great theme for LEGO. I can't wait till these hit the shelves so I can pick some up.

LEGO Monster Fighters Mini Site Live

In the wake of The Lord Of The Rings mini site, the Monster Fighters mini site is now up!

You can play some games and watch some movies... The usual.

It looks kinda dark if you ask me. The whole crazy monster idea is a little creepy. Of course people will love these sets. What's not to love!?

But I have a feeling that the mother that brings her son to the LEGO store would rather have him buying and playing with knights and ninjas, over zombies, vampires and werewolves.

I don't doubt that this theme will do well. Those are just my thoughts on the idea.
